David currently focuses on State fiscal policy, education reform and transparency in government.
"I support Cathy Giessel because I believe she will stand up for conservative values, individual responsibility and limited government. Cathy is what Alaska needs to ensure our State gets on a sound fiscal footing through limiting spending, education reform, resource development and a complete portfolio of energy sources. Cathy is THE conservative running for this district. Her career experience in medicine ensures that she will provide excellent public policy/legislation on Alaska's unique health care issues. I know that Senator Cathy Giessel will always listen to her constituents-just call her!"

I am a graduate of the University of Alaska, the WWAMI medical program, and a physician who strongly supports Cathy Giessel's candidacy. I have had the privilege to work on the Alaska State Medical Board, the Governor's transition team for Health and Social services, and the Alaska Health Care Commission. This has given me the opportunity to work with many of our state's leaders on complex issues. Cathy has been an integral participant in finding solutions to these vexing problems. Her leadership, knowledge, and experience is unmatched by any other candidate. The Senate is not where someone should go for on the job training especially when unique expertise is readily available. Her dedication and professionalism has earned Cathy the honor of being our Senator.

“I support Cathy Giessel for her solid integrity, her high intelligence, her traditional American values—which also embrace Alaskan pioneering values of hard work and independence. I also support Cathy because she is the best listener I have ever known and very good about remembering what she heard and acting upon her knowledge guided by her wonderful compassion and judgment. She has become very well versed—in a short time--on state finances and policy issues. In short, she is one of the best new candidates in the state. Having her in the legislature will be like having a sister you admire, respect and trust representing you.”
